It's evident from all the news coverage that Tim Tebow is either loved or hated.

I for one love the guy.

For a few different reasons...

For one he's from Jacksonville and from a family of 7.   He grew up in a pastor/missionary home and was home schooled.  So as a Pastor's kid myself and now a pastor's wife and a mother of 5 children that I home school, I definitely feel a connection with the guy!

My husband has always been a Gator fan and I found myself looking forward to the Gator's playing after Tebow joined the team.

This past Sunday we watched Tim play for the first time as the named starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos.

The first and middle part of the game was sometimes painful to watch, but by the 4th quarter you were starting to get the feeling, it's Tebow Time!

It's like you can visibly see his determination and passion affecting his teammates and eventually the game.

It was funny to hear the difference in the commentators from the beginning of the game to the end.

The negative comments by some were turned into, "you've got to admit he's a game changer."

And yet there were still some that were saying how "ugly" his quarterbacking skills are.

So here's the Tebow TwitterTruth on this Thursday:

1.  You've got to IGNORE what people say about you!

If Tim had listened to ALL the nay sayers (even from his younger years) he would have quit a long time ago.  If we live our lives off the good and bad opinions of others, we will live on an emotional roller coaster and as much as I love roller coasters the emotional ones are NO FUN!

2. You've got to know who you are and be confident in who God has called you to be!

Even as young child playing in leagues and then school sports, Tim was told he wasn't a quarterback and people always tried to put him in positions "they" felt he belonged.  But he kept working hard and going for what he knew was in his heart.  We've got to be the same way in our purpose.  We need to be confident in what God has put in our heart even if it doesn't make sense to everyone else.  Something might look "ugly" to those around you, but Tim's ugly helped win the game.  So keep doing what you know to do.

3.  Half the battle is NOT giving up!

How many times have we watched ballgames and before halftime you can see the game is over because the losing team has lost their fight...their determination to win.

There were some that probably flipped the channel on Sunday.

But not Tebow fans... they know he's not going down without giving it all he has.

I want to encourage you today.

  Don't let those that have watched you have a bad play or fumble the ball determine how you feel about your life.

Make people regret flipping the channel on your life before the game is over and end up missing your big comeback!

It's not over till it's over and half the battle is not giving up!
