Take off the mask

SHE IS free to take off a mask. “Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask.” I love this scripture from Romans. It reminds me of the command to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

I’ve always been more comfortable with the ‘loving my neighbor’ part but through the years I realized it was only by truly loving myself that I was able to take off any mask and truly love those around me.

When I not only embraced my identity in Christ, but also embraced how he designed and created me to show up in this world, it was easy to drop the mask.
