Tired of steeping?
As I stood over the pot of tea I was brewing before heading out the door, I became impatient for the process to be done.
The water had come to a boil and I was needing to give the herbal tea bags a few more minutes of steeping. As I kept going back and forth in my mind if it had been long enough, I suddenly was mesmerized by the little herbal tea bags being swirled about by the water roaring around the pot. I knew that by taking the bags out too soon I would miss out on the fullness of the blackberry flavor.
I wondered how many times I have struggled to remain in the pressure and removed myself from the heat of things out of impatience.
I can see in hindsight how the boiling pressures of situations have forced out the fullness and strength of who I really am. Though, during the heating process I still wrestle to relieve the pressure vs. surrendering to a place of complete trust.
I'm inviting you to join me in trusting the process.
The world needs you full strength.
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:4 (NKJV)
