I'M GOING TO GUATEMALA!!

Hi Everyone! I'm cracking up over here because I just started to write a new post to update you on some exciting things going on and I saw that the last blog I posted was from JULY talking about taking a Sabbath.  So just in case you were wondering I haven't been "Sabbathing" since July!   Oh, a lot has happened since July, and I have been writing, just been in a little different flow. If you are on Social Media then we have been able to stay connected that way these past few months. I have taken a Facebook break for the month of January, but will soon be making a re-entry since that is the only place I connect with some of you. So, most of you know I had a daughter get married in this Fall.  Still can't believe I have a kid old enough to be married, but it's been great!  I had many of you tell me it might be rough after the wedding...(for me) ha ha, but thankfully the transition has been wonderfully easy.  I surprised myself!  Probably helped that they dated for 4 years and we love him! I bring up the wedding because it was during that time that I saw a picture of a flower wall that I decided I wanted to make as a backdrop for the wedding.  I've always loved to decorate and do little projects, but I will say this was the biggest and longest project I've ever done.  Those of you that know me well know I don't do well with long tedious tasks and this was one LONG task.  And I absolutely LOVED it!  It was like a relaxation exercise to me...I KNOW...CRAZY ...right?!?  I remember thinking, "What am I doing?? This is so not me!" So the flower wall was completed for the wedding as well as creating some different kinds of flowers out of coffee filters.  In playing around with the filters one night I made a piece that I thought looked pretty neat so I framed it and hung it on the wall.  I thought after the wedding I would be done with all the months of creating things, even though I was feeling more inspired than ever.  Then people started asking about some of the things I had made.  Asking if they could pay me to make something for them.  I was hesitant at first and then it hit me how much of a blessing this could be.  I am always being made aware of needs around me and if you know me I'm usually trying to help in whatever way I can.  So many of you have given and jumped in on projects I have been part of and I am so grateful for each of you. A store link has been added to my site and you can see the different pieces I am offering at this time.  I will be adding some more pieces in the future.  The proceeds from sales will be going to help with a couple of projects I am involved with at this time.  Here is the link that will share more information about my trip to Guatemala in April as well as a local project I am involved with weekly here in Jacksonville. Thanks for taking the time to check them out! I don't know how your 2015 has started out, but let's be brave together and put our hand to what God has put in our hearts! Grateful for you! Susan xx
