S4 E12: Peace That Passes Understanding

John 14:27

I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace.

I’m telling you these things while I’m still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous! 

Father Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. 

And we thank are so grateful that you have not left us to navigate these days all on our own...you are here with us...in every moment. In our questioning, our fears, and in the midst of all the unknowns.

Holy Spirit we are looking to you to make all things plain to us. That where there is confusion you will open our eyes and hearts to truth.

We choose to not be led or controlled by fear but instead, we choose courage because that is what you have called us to.

2 Corinthians 13:11

Finally, beloved friends, be cheerful! Repair whatever is broken among you, as your hearts are being knit together in perfect unity. Live continually in peace, and God, the source of love and peace, will mingle with you.

 Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

Father, we look to you to repair and heal anything thing that is broken around us. Open our hearts and eyes to see what you see.

Help us to be joyful in the midst of pain and suffering.

Help us to live in harmony and peace with everyone. We can still live in love and peace and disagree.

Help us to be knit together by your perfect love and live in unity.

And may we always be mindful that you are our source of love and peace..always!

Romans15:13

Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!

Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!

And Father today and tomorrow we choose joy we choose joy, we choose joy!

We know that it is in that joy we find our strength.

Fill us up with joy and your peace that passes all of our understanding.

And then may our lives overflow into our world with this life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit. Which brings hope!

Thank you that as we put our trust in you, you are filling our lives with uncontainable joy and perfect peace.

May our lives be continually surrounded by the Holy Spirit and radiate hope to all those around us!
