But there’s no better time than at the start of a new year to focus on and get clear about your identity and who you are in Christ so I’m really excited to share this with you today at this special price!

 let jump into today’s episode…

Ok ya’ll

I haven’t been able to get away from the general theme that I talked about in the last episode so if you haven’t had a chance to listen yet. It’s 3 questions you need to ask yourself at the start of a new year.

I’m not going to go back through those questions but I am going to continue this thought around God inviting us to walk on paths we’ve never traveled.

The verse I shared was from

Isaiah 42:16

I will walk the blind by an unknown way

and guide them on paths they’ve never traveled.

I will smooth their difficult road

and make their dark mysteries bright with light.

These are things I will do for them,

for I will never abandon my beloved ones

I haven’t been able to get away from this phrase in this scripture and honestly, I don’t want to get away from it. I guess it’s more accurate to say the phrase has continued to rise up within my spirit.

And as excited as we all can be at the start of a new year here we are a few weeks in and it’s easy to revert back to the ways that are comfortable to us…

I heard a statistic this past week and I didn’t look it up so sorry if it’s not accurate, but I’ve heard the point of it before so I’ll share but the person said that 80% of the thoughts we have each day are on “auto-pilot”

Is that not crazy?!?

But I believe it!

We hear things and we are intrigued and want to apply them to our lives but we have to be so intentional with implementing the changes and truth we desire to apply.

I’m sharing that statistic not as a negative but as a reminder of the reality in which we tend to live our lives.

It’s so easy to wake up each day and then move through the day having the same thoughts pop into our minds and living out the same actions as the day and the week before.

So here’s what I’m challenging myself with these days…

I’m being super mindful of what I’m thinking about and when a typical thought pops in I’m snatching it up. I’m not automatically let it take up space in my heart and mind.

I’m bringing in under the truth of what God is speaking to me and asking God to reveal his truth over my thoughts.

I’m stopping mid-thought and saying sometimes out loud. God, what is it you have for me?

Give me the eyes to see the road I haven’t traveled yet that you are wanting to walk with me on and give me the courage to leave the way I’ve become comfortable and so familiar with.

I love how what I felt I wanted to share today goes so perfectly with the SHE IS IN CHRIST course that I put together this past Fall and mentioned at the start of this episode.

2020 showed us all like never before how frail and fragile we can be in understanding our identity.  It’s been heartbreaking to see the increase in suicides and relationships falling apart and people spiraling after job losses and just so much uncertainty in the world.

I’m not discounting any of that. It has definitely been crazy unsettling times it has been a time of shaking all that can be shaken and what a gift to each of us if at the end of ourselves and all the positions, and titles and roles that have propped up our egos come crashing down around us we see rising up who we always designed and created to be.

That when we live and breath in the awareness of who we are in Christ and the identity that brings us that cannot be taken away…

That my friend will change you forever…

I’ll have the link in the show notes for where you can grab the course today for a special price.

And I am praying that our hearts and spirits will be open to where God is leading each of us.

Even if it doesn’t make sense to us we can trust him, friends.

He is forever faithful!

Let’s keep looking to him...always!
