SHE IS doing nothing

SHE IS sitting on her back porch doing nothing.

My younger adult self wasn’t comfortable with the quiet and being still. Being still felt lazy and unproductive. So life was full of striving and being all things to all people and it was at times so excruciatingly hard which just made me feel worse about myself because obviously everyone else around me was doing just great!

I had created a life that was killing me in every way. Deep down inside I knew it wasn’t the life I was created for, but the unraveling of expectations (mostly from myself) was unsettling to say in the least.

I’m so grateful for a God that never gives up on us! A God that is always there to guide us after we take yet another detour or wrong turn. He’s so faithful to us!

Life is beautifully different when you choose to live out the life you were designed and created for.
Some might not get it or understand and you have to be okay with that. It’s your rhythm. You feel it with every beat of your heart when you’re out of rhythm. The sound of your life is noisy and chaotic. But when you are in your flow a beautiful melody comes to life. You hear God in that song and so do those around you.

These days I do less to do more and I’m pretty happy about it.
